The NFCC is a program that offers information on financial and consumer topics. It can also provide the following services:

  • Review of income.
  • Assistance in setting up a realistic personal budget.
  • Possible negotiations with creditors to make arrangements for reduced payments on bills.
  • Assistance in planning for future expenses.

    Services, depending on location, may be available for no charge or reasonable fee. You can find the NFCC listed in the yellow pages under "credit counseling"or call (800) 388-2227 for the location nearest you.
